[ ]The Basement
A place where most students fear to venture. For years, it's been dubbed haunted and ghost stories have been passed through the generations. Many students claim they've heard voices while passing by the basement entrance. However, others are not so easily lead and that is why the basement is the perfect spot for late night lectures.

[ ]The Second Floor (5 sub-boards)
Some students spend nearly their entire school career on the second floor, if only because of the detention hall that is located there. Because of the potion's classroom being located on this level, it often smells as if something is burning. Other classrooms are located on this floor as well.

[ ]The Fourth Floor (6 sub-boards)
By far, the fourth floor of the Institute is the worst in apperance. Hardly any renovations have occured since the schools construction in the mid 1970's. Students often comment on the almost horrid smell that seems to always dwell in the hallways, it being so bad that the windows are rarely ever shut, even in winter. The fourth floor contains primarily classrooms but also has the entrance to the Observatory.

[ ]The Boys Cabins (9 sub-boards)
When a student begins their schooling at Shannonlee, they are assigned to a cabin with five other students from their respected house. All the boy cabins are located on the left side of the Common Area Building, nestled against the edge of the Ephrin forest. Each cabin has two stories. The first story has one bathroom with two shower stalls, sinks and toilets. The first story also has a small common area with atleast three tables and six chairs. Some cabins may have more tables, depending on the size, as each cabin differs from another. The second story is where the the beds are located, three bunk beds spread out spaceously. In some of the newer cabins, reserved for the older students, there is a loft above the second floor that contains two twins beds. In these specific cabins, there are two sets of bunk beds located on the floor instead of three.

[ ]The Common Area
The Common Area is a large loghouse that was constructed in the early 80's after complaints from parents that the students had no where to spend time outside of classes but their dormitories. It is a three story building with no air conditioning and the heat barely works. Because of this the building is often abandoned in the winter monthes and the last few weeks of school when the heat is unbareable. Each floor of the Common Area has various recreational activities and plenty of space to accomidate the student body.

The Mermaid's Lagoon is a shop that opened around Christmas of 1986. The building had once been a shop for custom made robes but had been abandoned for nearly ten years before it was purchased by Caleb Langley in early 1986. It is said that the moment you step into the shopping district of Batterhill, you can smell the aroma of various pastries and sweets that are contained in the shop. The majority of the items available are made by the store owner but they do sell sweets from around the world. So whether you have a craving for an apple caramel pastry or the local favorite Pineapple Gobstoppers, then this is the place for you.

Though the name is a bit of a joke on the fact that people who go out on dinner dates want a romantic one with candle light, the restaurant is a pretty classy place. This is a large piece of land dating back to the Middle Ages. Only four country houses reside here, among the ruins of a village that was once ruled by Sir Alucard of Batterhill. Among the ruins are a church, and mostly scattered stone. The country houses are large in size and have mostly been updated for the current families or wizards living in them .The land is located roughly five miles from Batterhill and can't be seen by Muggles, just like the the town of Batterhill.

[ ]Batterhill Apartment Complex (26 sub-boards)
The Batterhill Apartments were built in the 1950's, and have all the ammenities of that time. Quite a bit of the outside of the building is in partial disrepair, making it look even more run-down than it actually is. The Apartments mostly have one bedrooms, and tenants who have two bedrooms are considered lucky. Some tenants actually enchanted the apartments to have more than the normal amount of bedrooms, or bought two apartments and just broke down a wall to have more space. Most of the teachers and other witches and wizards without large permanent residences live here, and most of them aspire to move to the better Stony Brook Flats across town.

[ ]Olenshire Flats (15 sub-boards)
This set of flats was built fairly recently, several of the flats still not rented out by residents. It was built to accommodate the growing rate of population around the town. However, the prices for a flat in this apartment are a bit more expensive then Stony Brook, but have a lot more accommodations, such as a pool in the basement floor. Mr. Olenshire hates the numbers 1 thru 10, so he made a basement, a lobby, and though the magical building looks as if it has twenty floors, it really only has 10 floors that the residents reside on, all from 11 to 20.

Built between 1963 and 1965, Riverview Heights was meant to be a vast improvement from the Batterhill Apartment Complex. However, funding was tight, corners were cut, and in the end the apartment buildings were nearly identical. Riverview was only sought after for it's seperation from the town, as it was away from the main center of commerce, sitting a few miles from the border of the town.

Located about a half mile away from the centre of town, the Stony Brook Flats were built in the late eighties and early nineties as an alternative to the old Batterhill Apartment Complex. They are seen by everyone as much nicer than the apartments.

[ ]The Radio Station
94.5 WKYR, also known as "Wizarding Wales," is the primary radio station for the wizarding public of Wales. When attempting to access 94.5 WKYR on any radio the signal comes in as pure static, almost sounding as if there is a Football game trying to break through the signal. However, once a wizard of witch has acquired a radio of their own, all they need to do is recite a simple incantation which brings the station in clear. 94.5 WKYR is known for its variety of news, talk shows and plain ol' music, whether it be of muggle or wizarding origin.

[ ]The Golden Arrow (1 sub-board)
The Golden Arrow is a local legend, a place that has gone through many transformations. In it's original creation, it was known as The Red Room, and was created in the mid 70's. At that time it was known for its ventures into the underground wizarding punk movement. However, by the late 1980's, the building was left abandoned. In 1994, the building was put up for auction by the city counsel. It was purchased by Finley Thompson and turned into the Green Arrow. The Green Arrow is a big band era caberat, known for being a different type of entertainment venture in Cardiff. The moment you walk through the doors, a spell makes it so that you're entire attire has changed, to a much more approriate one. Ever since it's official opening in early 1996, the club has been one of the most exciting places in Cardiff.
